Shaved Beef Cheeseburger

Ingredients

400g piece of fillet of beef, brought to room temperature

4 slices of American cheese

2 tbsp tomato sauce

2 tbsp American mustard

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 small white onion, finely chopped

2 butter pickle slices into thin rounds

4 soft sesame milk buns

Salt & pepper

Method

Heat a BBQ or grill pan over medium-high heat. Oil the beef and season with salt and pepper. Grill for 20 - 25 minutes, turning regularly. Rest for 10 minutes. 

Cut the buns in half and toast lightly.

Dress the base of the buns with tomato sauce, mustard and onion then add the top sides of the buns with mayonnaise.  

With a sharp knife thinly shave the beef. Place on the buns then add cheese and top with pickles. Sandwich the burgers together and serve.
