Depinder Chhibber

Depinder Chhibber MasterChef 2021 Australia alumni and she has many other facets of her very busy life.

Depinder was born in New Delhi, India and moved to Newcastle, Australia at the age of 11. She’s still a ‘Newy’ gal, where she lives with husband Gurkirat and their two young children.

Depinder made gobi parathas, onion pakoras, and an impressive chicken biryani on MasterChef - but she was best known for her green curry cake which took the internet by storm!

She certainly left her mark on the thirteenth season of MasterChef Australia.

In 2023, she was also a special guest chef on MasterChef India - which is quite a feat for a MasterChef alumni to feature on two versions of the global smash hit show.

Depinder is the third contestant to win ‘Immunity’ on MasterChef Australia, also quite an achievement.

Depinder is also a practicing pharmacist, following in the footsteps of her fellow pharmacist father.

She has recently started her supper club called 'Ghar' in Newcastle, where she is offering an intimate home style dining experience.
