Cook Time 30 minutes
Servings makes 12
Ingredients
Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
12 soft white dinner rolls, still attached
4 tbsp store-bought pesto
2 tbsp mayonnaise
2 packets of double-smoked ham slices
8 semi-sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 cup freshly grated cheddar
1 cup grated mozzarella
Black and white sesame seeds, to garnish
Method
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Using a serrated knife, cut through the bread roll loaf horizontally. Spread pesto on one side and mayonnaise on the other.
Combine the cheese and sprinkle half on the bottom. Top with ham and sundried tomatoes, followed by the remaining cheese. Sandwich with the bread roll tops. Carefully transfer rolls to a baking dish that fits the rolls side-by-side snuggly.
Brush with olive oil and sprinkle over sesame seeds, if using. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and cook for a further 5-10 minutes.
