Treacle Pear Loaf

Cook Time 45 minutes to 1 hour

Servings makes 1 loaf (approx. 12 slices)

Ingredients

2 pears peeled, de-seeded, diced into 2 cm pieces 

330g plain flour

80gm caster sugar

Pinch salt

5g baking powder

5g bicarb soda

10ml apple cider vinegar

180ml oat milk

100g treacle

180ml macadamia oil or light olive oil 

2-3 tbsp raw sugar

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C.  

Place dry goods into a bowl and mix, and in a separate bowl combine the wet goods.

Add the wet ingredients into the dry, stir and mix well.

Add the pear pieces to the bowl and mix well. Then, pour the mixture into a loaf tin lined with baking paper. Generously sprinkle over the raw sugar.

Place in the oven for 35-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
