French-Style Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

300ml milk

400ml thickened cream

4 tbsp icing sugar, sifted

100g dark chocolate, chopped

1 vanilla bean (optional)

50g milk chocolate chopped

Method

Pour the milk and 200ml of cream into a saucepan. Add 1-2 tablespoons of icing sugar and put on a medium heat. Add in your chocolate and allow to melt slowly. whisking regularly until the chocolate has completely melted.

In a separate bowl, add the remaining cream, icing sugar and vanilla seeds. Whisk until light and fluffy.

Pour the chocolate into bowls or mugs and then dollop over the cream.
