Josep Espuga

Pt. Leo Estate’s Culinary Director Josep Espuga originated from Catalonia, Spain, with a multi-Michellin star-studded CV featuring Mugaritz, Nahm, and New York’s Degustation. Josep has been in Australia for the past decade and brings a wealth of experience working at Bommie on Hamilton Island, where he managed large teams and multi-venue dining. Josep also launched The Bohemian at South Wharf in Melbourne.

Josep’s experience at Madrid’s La Broche working with El Bulli alumni Sergi Arola set him on his culinary journey and desire to cook worldwide. His first introduction to Australia was during a Stage at Mugaritz, where he met a young Dan Hunter. Now, Josep overseas Laura, Pt. Leo Restaurant and the Wine Terrace at Pt. Leo Estate.
