Anna Simon
Anna Simon is a Sydney-based food creator, presenter and passionate advocate for preserving and sharing Italian family recipes. Drawing inspiration from her Calabrese heritage, Anna loves recreating the dishes she grew up with alongside her parents, capturing not only the recipes but also the stories, traditions and humour that come with them. Her content often features her mum’s instinctive cooking methods and her dad’s wonderfully old-school Italian ways, creating a nostalgic and light-hearted look into family life that resonates with audiences of all backgrounds.
Anna first gained national recognition as a winner on SBS’s The Chefs’ Line and later appeared on SBS’s Dishing It Up. She is a regular contributor on Channel 7’s Sunrise and The Morning Show, where she shares approachable recipes and celebrates the traditions of Italian home cooking.
A familiar face at Italian festivals and community events across Sydney, Anna has hosted and presented cooking demonstrations at Norton Street Festa, Ferragosto and numerous cultural celebrations, food festivals and charity events. She is also proud to be an Ambassador for the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, supporting initiatives that help keep children safe from violence and bullying.
Through television, live events and social media, Anna continues to connect generations through food, keeping family traditions alive while inspiring others to get into the kitchen and cook. Whether she’s sharing a treasured Nonna recipe, hosting a live demonstration or playfully poking fun at her dad’s old-school Italian opinions, Anna’s passion remains the same: bringing people together through good food, great stories and a love of Italian culture.
