Smokey BBQ Sauce Sausages

Ingredients

1 tsp olive oil

6-8 thick pork sausages

16 slices of soft thick cut square bread

Dill pickles, slice into rounds

Coleslaw, to serve

Butter, softened

BBQ Sauce

½ cup brown sugar

1 cup tomato relish

¾ cup apple cider vinegar

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp garlic powder

Method

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Heat a little olive oil in a large oven safe pan and seal the sausages on all sides.

Combine all of the bbq sauce ingredients and pour the sauce into the pan, coating the sausages. Place the pan into the oven for 15 - 20 minutes or until the sauce is thick and glossy.

Spread butter onto bread and add pickles and slaw. Slice the sausage and add to the bread. Top with BBQ sauce and sandwich together.
