King Fish Tartare

Cook time 10 Minutes
Servings 2 as an entree


150 g fresh white fish (Mahi Mahi, Gemfish, Blue-eye, Kingfish), cut into 1cm cubes
1 lemon, juiced and strained
1 lime, juiced and zested
½  long red chilli, finely chopped
½ teaspoon ginger, grated
1 French shallot, finely chopped
2 tsp soy sauce
½ tbps fish sauce
1-2 tbsp coconut milk
1 butter lettuce, leaves picked off, wash and trimmed to form cups

King Fish Tartare


Add the lemon and lime juice, and lime zest to a non-metallic bowl. Add the chilli, ginger, shallot and stir.

Add the fish and stir to coat. Add the soy, fish sauce  and coconut milk and stir to combine.

Spoon fish into the lettuce cups and serve.
