Tomato Chutney

Cook Time 2 hours

Servings 1.5 kgs

Ingredients

1.5kg tomatoes, diced
3 white onions, peeled and diced
3 green apples, peeled and diced
1 cup cider vinegar
225g brown sugar
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
½ tsp. ground ginger
¼ tsp. nutmeg
¼ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. cloves
1 tbs. salt

Method

Place all ingredients into a large pot and bring to the boil. Turn the heat down to medium and simmer for 1 ½ – 1 ¾ hours or until thick.

Once cool, pour into sterile jars and refrigerate.
