Tomato Chutney with Sultanas

1 handful of sultanas
1.5kg tomatoes, diced
3 white onions, peeled and diced
3 green apples, peeled and diced
1 cup cider vinegar
225g brown sugar
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp cloves
1 tbsp salt

Tomato Chutney with Sultanas


Place all ingredients into a large pot and bring to the boil. Turn the heat down to medium and simmer for 1 ½ – 1 ¾ hours or until thick about halfway through add the sultanas.

Once cool, pour into sterile jars and refrigerate.
