Mini Ham and Cheese Croissant

Cook Time 30 minutes

Servings makes 16 mini croissants

Ingredients

1 x 375g sheet of frozen butter puff pastry, defrosted

150g comté (or cheddar), coarsely grated

2-3 slices of good quality ham, shredded

1 egg, whisked for egg wash

Sesame seeds, to garnish 

Method

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Working fast while the pastry is still cold, cut the pastry into 16 even triangle strips.

Sprinkle over cheese, nutmeg and a few strips of ham. Stretch the longer end of the triangle a little and then roll it up into a crescent shape. Place onto a baking tray and repeat with the remaining triangles.

Brush lightly with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
