Grilled Haloumi with Port Currants

250 gms halloumi, 2cm slices
¼ cup port
3 tbsp. currants
mint for garnish
olive oil

Grilled Haloumi with Port Currants


Add currants and port to a small pot over a medium heat. Simmer for 5 – 8 minutes.

Heat oil in frying pan over a medium flame. Fry halloumi for 1 minute each side or until golden brown on both sides.

Transfer halloumi to a serving dish, drizzle with port and currant sauce. Garnish with mint sprigs.

Serve immediately.
