Apple and Calvados Cake

Ingredients
100g plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
50g brown sugar
A pinch of salt
3 large eggs
100ml milk
30g melted butter
30ml calvados
6 large apples (I like to mix Golden Delicious and Royal Gala)
1 cup of whipped cream
8 to 10 raspberries
Icing sugar, for dusting
Method
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Prepare a well-buttered and sugared Kougelhopf (bundt) cake tin.
In a bowl mix flour with baking powder, sugar and salt. Mix in the 3 eggs, then the milk, melted butter and calvados.
Peel, halve and core the apples. Cut the apples into thin slices about 2 mm thick.
Place the apple slices in the prepared cake tin. Pour the cake mixture over the apple. Gently shake the tin and bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let stand for 15 minutes before carefully turning out.
Pipe rosettes of whipped cream on top of the cake and decorate with raspberries Dust with icing sugar before serving. Serve with cream, custard or a raspberry coulis.
