Roger Fowler

Roger Fowler

Roger is a Melbourne hospitality veteran who has been involved with good eating, drinking and coffee for over 20 years, at such establishments as Stokehouse, Prince of Wales, Il Fornaio and NorthSouth. These represent the ‘pointy end’ of the hospitality scene in St Kilda and surrounds.

A chef by trade, Roger worked alongside some of Melbourne’s best chefs and gained a great reputation for his food in the late 80’s early 90’s, running some of Melbourne’s leading restaurants.

Roger joined Hotel Urban St Kilda to manage the hotel itself and to refresh its hospitality offerings. He has certainly done that, with the café winning lots of friends for its great combination of classic breakfast and brunch offerings as well as some modern spins. “Hub’s classic-meets-modern menu and eclectic interior have been set up with the St Kilda community in mind, just as much as our hotel guests,” says Roger. This is just the beginning, there are lots more exciting plans and developments in the pipeline for the hotel.
